WE CHANGE

AV INSTALLATION/DISSERTATION

[Running length 45min 23sec]

How can sound and music tell stories about 21st century environmental change? How does ecological entanglement manifest emotionally and experientially?

we change was an audio-visual installation in an empty Victorian house before major renovation. I explored the use of living plants and found materials, creating a sculptural structure through which a 45-minute film was projected. I collaborated with 5 other composers for the soundtrack. In a 10,000-word Dissertation research project, I engaged with the process of producing the installation.

The project was selected as winner of The Rose Lawrence Horner’s Award 2023.
